I'm getting really tired of people whining about update this and update that. On the first of every month it starts off, complaining about Samsung not giving updates.
What do you people expect will happen to the phone after the update? Especially an incremental security update. Samsung is not holding it back to trouble you or because they're lazy. IT'S NOT READY YET!
Every second post is asking about updates. Chill out, relax and just wait. You won't die if you don't get the update, neither will the phone. No hacker will take it over, and your security will not be compromised. Nothing visible will change, you will not know the difference, update or not, unless it's a major yearly update.
Please FOR GOD'S SAKE STOP WHINING! You're filling this community with garbage! Whatever you're typing here, type it in Google instead. You'll get your answer. There are 3 back to back threads with the same stupid nonsense complaints. And every second thread is about updates. STOP IT! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Well, you have missed countries like Germany, Switzerland and USA. Also, it not as bad in the mid and lower sections as you would like to imagine, specially because Indian customers are increasingly becoming more aware of what to expect at what price range! Since few members use this app on a daily basis so they don't know that it has a notification regarding the update timeline. And Samsung is a very old brand so good fraction of it's customer base could be of an age group with minimum technical know how. So Please ignore it and don't get mad. You know how our country is still technically developing and not sound yet.
Everyone seems to be missing the point of my post. What I'm not happy with is sixty percent of all the posts are just people rambling about updates. What's the point of 3 back to back posts complaining about updates on the same phone? At least take a look at two or three posts above yours, and if you still need to complain, do it in the same thread? All these people only post update complaints and nothing else, and they don't bother to read anything that doesn't have 'update' in the header. Unlikely they even read replies.
Just wondering, though, anyone have a good experience with any other brand? After 2012, I only bought Samsung and Nexus / Pixel. Previously, ranging l Samsung was pathetic with updates. Pretty much no Samsung phone would ever see a major version upgrade. The Nexus and Pixels always got updates on the first day, obviously, only problem was, after exactly 2 years, they would never give an update for that phone again. Critical or not. They pretty much abandoned India after releasing the 2 series. After that they only introduced so called 'budget' models which were ridiculous, so i sold my Pixel 2XL when they stopped updates and since then, I've been with only Samsung, mostly Note series. Never had complaints about update schedules.
How do other major manufacturers fare with upgrades in India? Xiaomi, One Plus, Oppo, Motorola etc? Anyone have any experience with those?
