Galaxy NoteSecond point. If company promised something they have to fulfill it. This is business not a charity. Everyone have paid for their devices so yes they can ask for services. There is nothing wrong about it.
Now as you expected other to hear your point of view and keep calm, I will expect the same from you.
(The thing u have said may be true for some cases/users but you can't judge everyone here who are asking for updates or bug fixing).
Peace 🙏

Galaxy NoteIn fact few days ago, I was also irritated seeing everyone 1st asking for updates and then after getting the updates, complaining about the bugs. But then I realized, if Samsung releases so many models and has such a huge customer base, it is it's responsibility to hire a proportionate development team and release updates timely as they promised and without bugs.
Also, second as pointed out by other, another issue is the difference in updates in different regions. India most is the last to get updates. This is not acceptable!

Galaxy NoteAnd, regarding bugs, I am literally scared each time I get a update from Samsung fearing some bugs might show up or camera quality might go for a toss ( considering the number of people complaining each day about the bugs after updates, I hope you understand my fears are not baseless).
Yes, we can't blame engineers here because they work as per company guidelines and deadlines. I feel Samsung India should hire more engineers and not overload them, to reduce bugs while also providing customers timely updates.
Also, please consider many people of our country mayn't be competent neither in tech nor English. So, we can show some leniency there.
Agreed that Samsung has one of the best updates schedules. But here the concern is about regional difference in that schedule and the bugs that comes along with updates. You know why so many people complain everyday - it's because Samsung over promises (hence expectations of people heightens) and then underdelivers (causing frustration). Also, we pay a premium primarily for the software experience, else similar hardware can be easily found as much cheaper price. So, by giving timely updates they are doing nothing extraordinary nor out of charity!
Also, there is no hostility here brother atleast from my end, just a difference of opinions. I'm new here, yet I find this community quite amiable and welcoming for majority of the part. I hope you will soon agree on this too :)

Galaxy NoteThey have a bug, they can look around for solutions first, take a little bit of trouble to try and solve it or ask on Samsung Members for a solution to THAT BUG, not the update. Most of these people don't even have that. They're just impatient. Samsung published a full roadmap detailing every eligible phone and when it will receive the update. As an example, the N10+ has been clearly mentioned to get the update in January 2022. This is publicised all over the internet. Still there's at least 5 to 7 people asking for it and complaining about lazy engineers. Some of them don't even bother to speak full sentences. They just put the subject as 'note so and so' and the text as just 'update' on their post. And then they question the propose of Samsung Members, if not to complain about updates.
The promise Samsung made is to provide monthly upgrades. At least for my phone, they've delivered every single time. Sometimes late, but they've delivered. They're providing me a major version update and monthly updates 2.5 years after release, that too within a month of Google's release. No other company does that. Hence, I'm grateful, and happy to wait. But people with an s7 and note 8, etc, they're complaining about not getting updates, because not even Google's own phone get that many updates.
But anyway, i sense a lot of hostility. I don't think I belong here. It's fine, I'm losing nothing mostly, other than people complaining about updates.
Thank you all, and good luck!

Galaxy NoteDoesn't look like any of these people have specific problems they're waiting for a solution to, they're just complaining because they hear a rumour about an update in Korea. You write 10 lines, they'll just read the word 'update' on the entire article. And fire off a post.
People with genuine issues, post about the issue itself, and I'm happy to dedicate time and research to help them find at least a temporary viable solution. Some time back, there was a guy saying his display has a black spot on it, and when will they release the update to fix it. When I told him it's not a software issue, but a display issue, which will not be affected by any software update, he told me i didn't know anything and I'm stupid.
This is actually a very common thing. And I'm sick of it. Check out how bad it is. The attached images show just how many people have posted about updates in only the last three days. Even though sometime just posted the same freaking question 12 minutes before them.
