I've had my Note9 since April last year with an OS of Android Oreo. I didn't set my phone to automatically download & install new updates but I do approve updates once my phone says there is one. I didn't even notice until now when I checked that my last update was for Android 10 and it was just earlier last month. I guess the important thing for me is that my phone works and it can do whatever I want it to do. Thanks by the way Samsung for the earlier update.
