Samsung Electronics said on Thursday its latest Bixby 2.0 artificial intelligence platform will be deployed on older devices, including the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8 from the end of this month globally and from January in Korea.
Bixby 2.0 was launched alongside the launch of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9 flagship device in August.
The update will be installed when a phone updates to the Android 9.0 operating system, said the Korean tech giant. The latest move aims to beef up the number of Bixby users.
