I called to find out why I can't use simultaneously two SIM cards in my Dual Samsung Note 10+. Apparently Samsung is not so advanced like Huawei or Nokia, or Sony, or Oppo, or 1+ or basically everyone else in the market and instead of using a Full Active Dual Sim solution with two active modems, is using a Standby Mode Dual Sim. That means that while you talk on SIM 1 let's say, your SIM 2 will be shut down (people calling you will receive a message that your phone is off or out of coverage area). THAT IS VERY POOR PERFORMENCE. Basically you keep 2 SIM cards in your phone but you are only able to use one at a time. That means also that if you talk on SIM 1 and you get internet from data of SIM 2, you will not be able to use internet while you speak.
More good news? I bought the 512 version of Note 10+ (cost around 1300 USD) and the only back-up available space in cloud is 15 GB. I called and asked how do I extend that space to cover at least my storage space, and was surprised to find out that due to regional policies I am not allowed to extend the Samsung cloud space to a paid subscription because it is not allowed in Middle East!!!?!?!?!?!?!
I had enough of Samsung poor service and poor products. Looking for alternatives.

Hi. Very surprised to read this. Did you contact Samsung re: the dual SIM standby issue? Can you post a follow-up on their feedback? Thanks.

well it is called dual sim active. The last samsung phone with this feature was the S5 and Note 3.

The feature is no more because it consumes more battery due to 2 antennas and can be solved by the combination of call forwarding and call diverting and hence.
