I was just using my camera and found this.
On pro mode on my note 9 (can somebody with an S9/9 confirm this?) I can go to a max iso of 800 but when set to automatic & under certain (dark) lighting conditions the iso goes up to 1250 and that's the max I've noticed so far.
I agree that nobody would want to go to an iso that high but this changes a lot of things. Even though there's hardware to do better Samsung's software is limiting the capabilities of the camera. The OnePlus' & LG's camera on manual mode can go upto 30secs of shutter speed and Samsung can only do 10secs. It would be great to have a shutter speed that long.
Also some phone camera apps both native & 3 party support burst mode on manual mode.

That's a very interesting observation. Good one. The same thing can be confirmed for Galaxy S9.
Agree on the point of Samsung limiting capabilities of a great camera with a poor software. 3rd party apps also barely help unlock those potential.
