I got the same problem in my Galaxy note 8, I even tried to roll back the software but no changes at all. After that i have just turned off the device for a few hours and then it came back to normal. Sometimes the screen do the same glitch again but it returns to normal after a few seconds. I never dropped the phone nor anything like that.

All of that after the last update!

The sad part is my note 8 is out of warranty already.

I've called Samsung but they said due to COVID19 they can do nothing now as I have to send the device to their service centre.

Please perform following steps to resolve the screen "display/brightness" issue:

2)Perform reset settings :-Settings >General management >Reset >Reset settings.
3)If issue is still not resolved then create data backup and reset the device
Data Back-up Process via Smart Switch Mobile App (Data Back up in phone memory card):
Install Smart Switch App from Google Play Store>Open Smart Switch App >Click on Memory Card Icon >BACK UP option>Choose the data for Back up >BACK UP
Reset Step: Settings >General management >Reset >Factory Data Reset. (Samsung Account and Google Account needs to be removed before factory reset the device)

4)adapative brightness - Setting>display>adapative brightness>enable it(do acordingly)

If the issue still persist, kindly register your concern in Samsung Members app (Samsung Members app > Get help > Feedback > Error report/ask question).

The same issue started since yesterday (26/Apr). My Note 9 is also 1.5 years old.
Spent 70k rupees and it didn't last even for 2 years. Even cheap mobiles around 20k would easily last that 1.5 years.
Samsung is NO better than cheap chinese brands like the vivo, Xiaomi etc.
Cheating on customers spending on your so called premium models is a bad business. People should stop buying premium models unless they give a 3 year warranty. 1 year warranty even for a cheap 10k phone and 90k is a cheating we all know but still go with go with it.

Same here brother. Even I got this issue from the end of March, I can remember my phone also shown that whitish skeleton when I reset my turn on my phone. But still no changes. What I realized whenever I'm using my phone is a very cold environment ( wet microbiology laboratory) it's not malfunctioning... but that scenario won't suit for all-day use. I'm so broken after this issue.

I am using Samsung products for more than a decade. Mainly, almost all Samsung note product has been used. Samsung note 9 has a display problem by last mid-March and that too during the lockdown period and there is no customer support, not able to go out to check with Samsung service center. If this many customers affected, Samsung should proactively provide a patch or alternate solutions to customers. I am really disappointed with Samsung for not doing anything on a matter of urgency.  We all have to reconsider Samsung products to buy in the future.

Hope Samsung will understand it and do something immediately

same here. been a samsung user since 2010 starting with the S2. but now all the display panels of samsung including the ones supplied to one plus are all with some fault. my TV too had an issue in 2015 and display had to be changed thrice. by sending a legal notice to them after a year, they refunded the whole amount which was after warranty. I will be switching over to MI or Poco if Samsung does not do anything on this. it's waste spending a lakh on a phone which gives the same 1 year warranty similar to a poco F2 with the same warranty at a fraction of the cost.
