Samsung, I have a Korea version of the Note 8 and the phone is very powerful. I believe strongly that this phone can handle the updates to OneUI. Please consider allow the version S8 and Note 8 to update to the latest software.
Samsung only start thr 4 year updates from the s10 upwards, even the s8 is stil very capable. Unofficially if you feel adventurous you can flash the phone and root it and install a custom rom for one UI, 4.0,but it will trip samsung Knox and you will not be able to use samsung pay. You always stand a chance to brick the phone,so only do this when completely sure and you know what you are doing and have nothing to loose.
