Why is the reddit app causing unusual battery drain on my device ?? I am using a Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am a frequent Reddit user and I haven't encountered any problems before. Can you please send a screen shot of your battery usage pattern from your Device care ?

Your opened apps are consuming battery in the background. 14% for 1.5 hrs of reddit usage is normal if you watch videos in it. For eg: if you look at your Bible app, you opened the app for a minute but it ran in the background for almost 5 hrs . This leads to battery drain. I recommend that you close the app through the multitasking function like I have shown in the attached screenshot. Please check if your battery drain reduces after you try this. Also run your device care to close unused apps running in the background. Please check and revert.

Hi there,

You can try to uninstall and then reinstall Reddit. If the issue continues, please bring the device to a Samsung Service Center.
