One UI Google Assistant - Feature Alert

I was 1st wondering that in one UI when full screen gesture based navigation are enabled, we cannot activate Google Assistant without saying "OK Google" keyword. The pressure sensitive home button doesn't actually activate the Google assistant like it used to do.

However I discovered that Google Assistant can be called by slowly swiping up from the centre at bottom.

Fast swipe takes you to home. Your swipe should be a slow 2 second swipe.
