Hi, Am trying to connect note 9 to my office laptop docking station type C cable, it detects as a HDMI input and automatically Ethernet enabled along with a notification tap here to enable DeX, but note 9 is not projecting to the monitor via a docker. Anyone know how to fix this? Or do I need a direct type C HDMI cable to the monitor?

No, that is not required for note 9, Dex will work with type c HDMI cable itself, what I have trouble is, its not working with laptop docking machine

this is the docker, we can connect mouse, keyboard and a HDMI input to project to a monitor. All the things working in note 9, except projecting to a monitor

Bro..Since Most of the Laptops has HDMI out only, hence doesn't Support HDMI inputs, It is normally for HDMI out Projectors..One more thing if your Laptop is Labelled as "HDMI" then it is HDMI out only, but if it is labelled as "HDMI-in" then it is for Input only and here only it will work..Hence Out can be used for out put while in for input only ..And only Very Few Laptops are available with both types of HDMI Sockets( Two Sockets of HDMI)...
