I think you need to give permission for accessing contacts in app settings

Please below mentioned steps to resolve the issue:

>Navigate to Settings >> apps >> 3 dots >> apps permission >> contact >> enable>> whatsapp >> Then go to whatsapp and refresh it.

>Home > Apps > Settings > Advanced features > Dual Messenger>whatsapp>>enable >>select separate contacts for your second app>> turn on.
