Need help, unexpected battery drain at night.

Hi team

I just bought a new note 8, which I am loving it.

The major problem I am facing is the battery drain when phone is idle.

I am observing since 4 days, when I finish charge note 8 100% around 1 am and keep all Wi-Fi and other connections off.

So when I wake up in morning at 8.30 am battery get reduce to around 75% or 74%. It is losing almost 25% during the idle time.

Please advise is it battery fault or what and advise me a solution for it.

Yeah, it's a problem (I think) with Samsung's inplementation of Nougat. Even MKBHD (I hope you know him) have a bad impression of S8's standby time. i'm using A7 (2017) and I've tried to observe the phone's standby some time. I tried it observing it with the celluar data turned off, AOD turned off and on and both just have a bad standby time. Maybe Samsung didn't implement the Doze to their Nougat update too well because it wasn't this bad when my device is in Marshmallow. I just hope it'll be fixed in an upcoming update.

Hi Dear, hope it get resolve soon. As 2 or 3 percent drop while idle is acceptable. but in my case it is getting down to 25% or more.

Hi Everyone for your kind solutions, Samsung team advise me to keep the phone in safe mode to check the same issue persist or not.

I tried solution of safe mode at night. When the battery recharged at 95% (12:10 am) I disconnect the charger and open the phone in a safe mode.

I checked it after 2 hours, battery drop by 5% nothing running in background.

I checked in morning (8:10 am) it again as usual drop severely to 76% which is totally bad.

Please check and advise me a proper solution as the phone is brand new and I bought it just 5 days ago. As this problem is affecting also by daily usage as I need to carry my power bank daily to office to charge it twice.
