Hi there,

when having my bluetooth speakers or my bluetooth headset connected, my phone starts to play music from spotify each time I end a call.

How can I stop this?

Thank you!

I think Spotify does not have an option to disable auto-playback.
Hence, one thing you could try is to go into your phone's Settings > Apps > Spotify > Battery and set the usage to Restricted. This will stop Spotify from waking up automatically.

If that doesn't work, try disabling Spotify Connect within your Spotify settings as well, although I am not very sure if this would work.

One other (interesting) solution found on Spotify's community was to unsubscribe from their Premium membership, since apparently this disables the feature in the backend too.

If battery usage is restricted, it will negatively affect Spotify, resulting in poor performance for background play.

Agreed, it can affect adversely. However, this suggestion/solution about restricting background battery usage came from other Samsung users on the Spotify community, so I am hoping that it works, while not affecting the other functionalities/performance.

"When I restricted Spotify from running in the background and minimized it, Spotify stopped working."
