Had written to customer support thrice, but the responses made absolutely no sense! They were not even related to my question. Which is: How do you get the adapter that enables the Gear VR headset that was released for the Note 8 to be used with the Note 9? In the US, you just have to call up Samsung customer support and they ship it to you for free. In India, customer support is clueless. So what should a Note 9 buyer like me do to get the adapter?

We do regret for the inconvenience caused. We would like to inform you that in Samsung India no adapter is available for gear and Note 9 connectivity. Whenever compatible Gear VR will be launch it will be available on Samsung India online shop for purchase.
