Subject: Request for Free Replacement of Samsung Note 20 ultra Due to Display Issues after Software Update

Dear [Customer Service/Support Team],

I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration regarding the recent software update for my Samsung Note 20 Ultra smartphone. After installing the 1st July Security Update on 22/07/2023, I noticed the appearance of a green line on the device's display.

Considering the timing of the issue and the fact that it occurred immediately after the software update, it is evident that the problem is not a result of any mishandling or damage on my part. This strongly suggests that the update has caused a hardware malfunction in my device.

I would like to emphasize that my Samsung Note 20 Ultra is not currently under warranty. However, given the clear correlation between the update installation and the onset of display issues, I kindly request a free replacement of my smartphone. I believe that the responsibility lies with the company, as the issue occurred directly as a consequence of the software update.

To provide further details, please find the relevant information below:

Phone Model: SM-N986B/DS
Update Installed On: 22/07/2023
Issue Arised On: 22/07/2023

I kindly request a prompt response and a resolution to this matter. I hope that Samsung will take full responsibility for the issue and provide a free replacement.

Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to a favorable resolution.

Sincerely,
Akib

Hi,

Did they fix your phone? Even I faced the same issue with my S22 Ultra and it’s been 2months without any resolution. It was exactly after a security update that my display turned green. And it’s now been 2 months since it’s in service centre. They say I have to pay for the new display. There are no physical damage whatsoever.

Hi there,
They didn't fix mine as I have mentioned in one of my replies but you should go back to the centre and ask them to replace it under this policy and if they still refuse to fix it the I suggest you contact their customer support.
