Hey everyone!

Has anyone ever felt like your 120Hz display just slows down soo much and is slower than even 60Hz while charging your phone? Why is this?

Hi Namitha,

I experienced the same with my previous device S20 Ultra 5G variant. Upon checking with the service center they confirmed that the refresh rate will drop to 60Hz if the device temperature goes above 42 degrees Celsius. This happens when you continuously use your camera, prolonged gaming sessions, and other processor intensive activities. Things will be fine once the temperature drops below that threshold. The refresh rate will also drop once the battery level goes below 5%. Please check your device temperature while charging as that could be the case. Try changing the refresh rate manually to 120Hz when you face this issue. Hope Sammy will fix this issue with a software update.

Hi Ambassador,

Interesting to see this.

Here is our take on it: the usage of gaming and filming and picturing in a constant way will raise the mobile temperature what might affect the refresh-rate efficiency.

Thank you, I will definitely check this 🙂
