Galaxy Note 8 gets July security update ahead of Galaxy Note 20 launch

Everyone at Samsung is probably busy preparing for the upcoming Galaxy Note 20 launch, but that hasn’t stopped the company from continuing to push out security updates to its existing Note flagships. The Galaxy Note 8 has been getting security updates regularly these last couple of months, and it’s now getting another new update. This one brings with it the July 2020 security patch.

The Galaxy Note 8 is nearly three years old at this point, so it won’t surprise you that the new update has nothing except the latest security patch to offer. The July patch brings fixes for four critical Android OS vulnerabilities and 17 vulnerabilities that Samsung discovered in its own software. It also fixes a bug that would cause a phone to restart or get stuck in a boot loop when a certain kind of wallpaper was applied. For more details on this month’s security patch, you can check out Samsung’s official security bulletin here.

The July security update, carrying firmware version N950FXXSCDTF1, for the Note 8 is currently available for the Exynos model in Chile and Argentina. It’s likely to expand to more markets soon, and to check if it’s out in your country, you can open the phone’s Settings app, select Software update, and tap Download and install. The latest firmware is also available in our firmware archive, which you can install on your phone using a Windows computer.

After I have updated the July 2020 security patch, I am unable to make any calls because the network signals not showing at all, SIM card manager not working, If I try to update the software it says to reset your phone, no use many time I have reset my phone, not able to login to Samsung services, and I am upset unable to use the mobile for calling purpose. How to solve this issue we don’t know what is Samsung going to do so?
