Yes, you can reinstall or reset the Samsung Camera app without performing a factory reset. Here's how you can do it:

Clear Cache and Data:

Go to Settings > Apps. Search for the Camera app and tap on it. Select Storage and then tap on Clear Cache and Clear Data.

This will reset the app to its default state without affecting other apps or data.

Uninstall Updates (if applicable):

In the Camera app settings (via Apps), check if there's an option to Uninstall Updates. This will revert the app to the factory-installed version, and you can update it again via the Galaxy Store.

Galaxy Store Reinstallation:

Open the Galaxy Store. Search for Samsung Camera or Camera Assistant (if available for your device). Reinstall or update the app from there.

If the issue persists, you might want to contact Samsung Support for further assistance.
If the problem is resolved, please click on three points above and click on The solution has been accepted. Thank you 😊

Thanks for the detailed answer.
The camera app gives a message that says: camera has failed. I tried all the above but unfortunately it didn't work.

If the "Camera has failed" message persists even after trying the above steps, here are a few advanced troubleshooting methods you can try before considering a factory reset:

1. Boot into Safe Mode: Restart your phone in Safe Mode to rule out any third-party app conflicts. Press and hold the Power Button until the Power Off option appears. Press and hold the Power Off option until you see the Safe Mode prompt. Tap to confirm. In Safe Mode, try opening the Camera app. If it works, a third-party app might be causing the issue. Restart the phone, identify, and remove the problematic app. 2. Update Your Software: Go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. Ensure your device is running the latest firmware, as updates often fix bugs and glitches. 3. Check for Hardware Issues: Open the Samsung Members app and go to Support > Phone Diagnostics. Run a test on the camera to check if it's a hardware issue. 4. Wipe Cache Partition: Boot into Recovery Mode: Turn off your phone. Press and hold the Volume Up + Power Button until the Samsung logo appears. Use the volume buttons to navigate to Wipe Cache Partition and select it with the power button. Restart your phone and check the camera again. 5. Contact Samsung Support: If none of the above works, it may be a hardware issue. Visit the nearest Samsung Service Center or contact Samsung Support for a professional inspection.

Hopefully, one of these steps resolves the issue without needing a factory reset! 😊
