Extremely Disappointing Experience – Green Line Issue on My Samsung Phone

Hi All,

I purchased Samsung S23 ultra a premium flagship phone beleiving and trusting in Samsung as on Aug 2023. It had been not more tha ln 3 years and the phone has been showing green line after the latest April 2026 security update.

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding the green line issue that has appeared on my Samsung smartphone. As a long-time customer, I chose Samsung because of its reputation for quality and reliability. Unfortunately, my recent experience has severely damaged that trust.

Without any physical damage, mishandling, or unauthorized repair, a prominent green line suddenly appeared on my phone's display. The device has been used with utmost care and remains in excellent condition. It is extremely concerning that such a serious display defect can occur in a premium device through normal usage.

What makes this situation even more frustrating is the widespread nature of this issue among Samsung users. Numerous customers have reported identical problems, indicating that this is not an isolated incident but a recurring defect. Despite this, many customers, including myself, are left struggling for a satisfactory resolution.

A smartphone is an essential device for communication, work, banking, and daily activities. Being forced to use a device with a defective display is both inconvenient and unacceptable. Customers should not have to bear the financial burden of repairing a problem that appears to stem from a manufacturing or quality-related issue.

I respectfully but firmly request Samsung India to provide an immediate and permanent resolution to this matter, preferably through a free display replacement or any other suitable corrective action. I expect Samsung to stand behind the quality of its products and address this issue promptly.

I hope Samsung India will treat this complaint seriously and respond with a fair resolution at the earliest. Continued delays or denial of support will only further diminish customer confidence in the Samsung brand.

I look forward to your prompt response and immediate action.

Did you visited Samsung Service center?
As I know Samsung treats S series users as a priority customer
I know Green Line issue is a serious problem
It's unacceptable from a eminent company like Samsung

Visit samsung center and if it is within 3 years they will do free of cost, only labor charges that too nominal charges

Recently I faced the same issue and i went to the Centre and fortunately I was having only 3 days in hand and they did it with labor charge only approximately Rs 7k

Bro 7k is not small amount haha
Check Samsung Website Labour Charge is approximately under 1k or near about 1k
Idk which device you using but Labour Charge can't be 7k

Ask for free replacement of display in samsung service center don't pay for display you have to fight it out

● Kindly restart your device.

● Update software on device: apps screen > Settings > Software update > Download and install > Download > Install now.

● Reset the device:
Note: Kindly create data backup of your device via SMART switch mobile application or http://www.samsung.com/in/support/smartswitch pc suite. Remember Google password before resetting the device because it required during initial setup. If you don't remember the password, then reset (Forgot password) your google account.

Settings > General Management > Reset > Temporary cloud backup or External storage backup > Factory data reset (This will erase all data, including files and downloaded apps.)

If the issue still occurs, please visit the service center for a physical inspection of your device. You can locate your nearest service center with this given link: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/service-center/
