I'm getting battery drain issue after upgrading to Android 12 (oneui 4). Samsung messed with battery optimisation in oneui 4. I see lot of people complaining about battery drain but no reply from Samsung side, they should fix this issue in next update. Don't know why they are in hurry to release OneUI 4.0 without doing proper testing and optimisation.

I found 2 major issue in this update thats make me frustrate to use my new phone even I'm planning to sold my Note 20.

1. Excessive battery draining , I was getting almost 7hrs of screen on time on OneUI 3.1 even some times more than that but after OneUI 4 update this comes to 3hr to 4hrs maximum. Same usage pattern as before but getting half of SOT now. I have to charge 2 times in a day now.

It is not acceptable to get this type of battery backup after spending huge amount on a phone( because of buggy software update/support from lazy **bleep** developers).

2. Screen stuttering on OneUI home page even in opening/closing App folder . (This happens to me 7/10). Sometimes getting lag and stutters in app closing.

Note- I got update on 12th Jan , almost 2 weeks now but no changes in battery drain. I already did factory reset, wioe cache partition but no luck till now.

I MADE A MISTAKE TO BUY SAMSUNG PHONE.

Note 20 is my 1st Samsung phone and will be last one to stay away from this buggy UI.

Pls Ignore my english grammer mistakes.

Dear Samsung member,

Greetings from Samsung customer support.

Thank you for sharing your concern. We acknowledge your query and apologize for the same. And please follow the easy troubleshooting steps which might help to solve the issue.
Battery optimization helps you to boost the battery performance of your device. To check battery optimization:

Settings > Select Device Maintenance/Device Care > Optimize > Optimize all options like Battery, Storage and Memory

Kindly turn off the smart features of the device and other connectivity features when not in use, which will eventually help you to reduce battery power consumption (smart features such as Motion gestures in advance feature and Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Hotspot, etc.).

Please follow the below steps:
1. Swipe down on the home screen to open the notification panel.
2. Tap on Bluetooth, Location/GPS, Wi-Fi, Mobile hotspot, NFC, etc. to turn off.

In case the issue still occurs. Please register your concern in Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Get help > Send Feedback > Error report).

Thank you for writing to Samsung.
Warm regard,
Samsung customer support
