We would like to inform you that to use edge lightning please follow the below mentioned steps:-

The Edge screen lights up when you receive a call or notification while the device’s screen is facing downwards. On the Apps screen, tap Settings → Display → Edge screen, and then tap the Edge lighting switch to activate it.
Thank you for reaching out to the Samsung community! Kindly follow below steps to overcome issue:
Go to setting > Apps > tap on three dots > do ‘Reset app preference’.
After doing the above procedure, kindly restart your device and check the performance.
If still issue persists, we request you to operate the device in ‘Safe mode’ as steps are mentioned below:
1. You need to restart your handset by pressing power key.
2. Then, when Samsung logo appears on the screen long press volume down key and keeps pressing it.
3. You will see a safe mode label at bottom left side, when your handset will enter into safe mode.
4. To exit from safe mode kindly restart your device.
Note: In safe mode, 3rd party application will be bypassed and handset will work with default applications only. By that mean, it becomes clear whether it is an issue of the handset or problem because of any 3rd party application on the handset.Be sure to hit ♡ when you find an answer that works for you.
