EXTRA DIM FOR GALAXY NOTE 10 PLUS

Hello,

I have noticed that Samsung had not enabled Extra Dim feature for Galaxy note 10 plus in the recent One ui 4.0 (Android 12 ) update.

I have discovered a workaround to enable the extra dim feature on galaxy note 10 plus.

However, I also found out that there also exists a thread already by user S_kumar73 linked below :

Note :- I also tried to create a widget on home screen ( Via Activity launcher) but it failed to run Extra dim service due some Javascript error ?

Shall we call this Alternate method ?_?

Follow these steps that I discovered to activate extra Dim : 

Requirements :- Only 2 things required

1. Third party application from play store.

Name :- Quick shortcut maker.

2. Galaxy Note 10 Plus updated to One UI 4.0 (A12)

Steps to follow :- 

Step 1 : Install the app and wait for it to load. (Ref pic 1)

Step 2 : After Sucessful load, search " extra dim " and you will find two results.(Ref pic 2)

Step 3 : Select the second one with " Settings " with no icon and now select \ press on third option " Settings " with subtitled as " Extra dim ". (Ref pic 2 & Ref pic 3)

Step 4 : Now select \ press on Try option. (Ref pic 4)

Step 5 : Scroll down turn on extra dim shortcut for quick access (Ref pic 5 )

You can freely move that quick accessibility icon anywhere on the screen. (Ref pic 6)

Also dont Select \ Press on create, it will issue some error at first then disappears. I tried already for my device.

P.S : I did not try the method mentioned by user @ S_kumar73. Because I don't like using third party launchers ( no judging everyone has their own preferences -_- and yes i like using samsung stock home launcher.)

YOU CAN ALSO TRY THIS METHOD FOR OTHER DEVICES BUT I DO NOT KNOW IF THAT WORKS. DO THESE ON YOUR OWN RISKS

You don't have to use the launcher in the linked post. Only have to install it. You will get widget from the default widget list.
It is easier.

But for me it is not creating a widget if I use Accessibility--> Extra Dim.

And if i use this I am getting a settings widget. (This is working )

Where did you get android 12 on A52 in India? It's not released in India yet..🤔

Installed Russian firmware.

Oh...😅 as people say Russian firmware is better & more optimized...so what do you think regarding that? 🤔

Tbh I don't know. I'm getting 6.5+h sot from 85%.
It have some Russian bloats though. For map, Youtube etc. And doesn't have call recoder.
