Does anyone have heating issues on their Note 9 during gaming sessions?

Games like PUBG and ARK Survival Evovled oddly overheat my phone with only 15-30 mins of gaming. Is this normal?

I've contacted Samsung and they were kind enough to give me alternatives to fix this issue. Haven't done it yet, just wanted to clarify with other Note 9 user.
