They should really make a feature where users can use customized icon packs made by developers on playstore. It is possible but why aren't they making this feature happen ?

Currently only themes and icons from galaxy store is supported. You can download lots of both free and paid themes and icons from the store.

Yeah but to be honest I like the ones which are on playstore more. The ones on galaxy store doesn't have third party app icons.
