Bright Green Light In The Middle Of Screen

It's a VERY sad day for my Note 20 Ultra, obviously out of warranty, as a bright green line just decided to appear in the middle of my screen and as i can't afford to repair the screen while still paying it off monthly till next year, i am totally gutted as having to think about getting a new phone even mid range phone at some point. Totally Gutted as i adore my Note 20 Ultra. 😭

This has become a common problem for Samsung users and Samsung itself is the culprit, they should compensate users by free repair as it's usually caused by their software updates.

Can you back that up with proof though, as if it was a software update, it would have fixed it but it's a screen issue. Don't know what or why causes it but i'm sad as i truly love my Note 20 ultra for being the very last note that existed. And as it costs Rs 13,000 mauritian rupees to fix,i will wait until next year to see what phone will come.out or maybe think about the S24 ultra even though i don't like the S series whatsoever and also Samsung's updates between phones haven't been that big... Which is deceiving.

Same with my s21+ it happened yesterday out of nowhere **bleep** green line in the middle of the screen !! I heard it might be the display connector and that is damage or loose.. but in mauritius dunno who can fix this .. the easy way is they just change whole amoled!!

I don't have Rs13000 to trust any mauritian company to take my only phone.

That's what I was trying to say.. if they fix or change the display connector.. it will be way cheaper.. 13 k is for changing another amoled ...

Will hopefully wait until the S24 comes out and see if 1) i can afford it or 2) truly want or need it. As i love my Note 20 ultra simply for still having the SD card, as i'm old school...

Same here. I'm having same problem. Out of nowhere and without Amy physical damage I got two green line on my screen.

Very annoying that. As i love my note 20 ultra, as i don't like the S21, S22 or S23 series as they don't have the SD card and they were not meant to replace the Note series. But as it costs Rs 13,000 Mauritian Rupees to fix, i will wait till the end of next year to buy a new phone... Hopefully if i can, the S24 ultra, as so far i have not seen a phone that i'd like...

Sadly it's difficult to tangibly prove that software updates are the cause, however my S20 began having such display problems after an update to Android 11 if not mistaken, some monthly updates would randomly fix it, following one's would suddenly have it reoccur. So it's been back and forth.
