Wondering when is the best time to purchase Samsung's Latest Galaxy Flagship Smartphone?

Well the answer is pretty straight forward.. Its the Launch Offer/ Pre Booking Offer..

If you are absolutely certain about buying a particular samsung's flagship just go ahead make the pre order.. If you have a few doubts about it wait for it to launch in India.. Watch reviews on youtube and tech blogs and buy it within the launch offer itself..

Reason:
1. Samsung in India has stopped the practise of price drop within 6 months for its flagships and this makes the pre order deal the best as it may have a cashback offer on a particular card.. normally its HDFC Credit/ Debit Card of Rs.6000.. Unfortunately it was missing for S20 series but the price was discounted like the pre-booking price was Rs.74000 for S20 plus which is now Rs.78000..

Screenshot attached as proof.. Note 10 series pricing on all website.. these screenshots were taken just before lockdown..

2. Price drops only when a new Flagship of the same series is launched next year.. Example - when S20 series was launched S10 prices went down..

3. Price drop is almost near to the amount which was already given as cashback during pre booking period.. That means price drops by around 6000 - 8000 which you would have already got as cashback with pre order offer..

4. Pre order or launch offer generally has some nice acessories at a very discounted price.. Example - Galaxy Buds worth Rs.10,000 was given with Note 10 plus for Rs.3,000 as pre booking offer..

Also it is most profitable to upgrade the device every 2 years as you can get a best deal considering samsung upgrade offer and pre booking offer both combined.. If you upgrade within 2 years you will have to pay around 45k-50k every 2 years and you will have the latest samsung flagship with best acessories..

Unfortunately the Resale price of samsung flagships after 2 years is just very bad so its best to upgrade within 2 years.. Also one of the main reason why the resale price goes down every 2 years is the design.. Samsung changes its design every 2 years and thats the main reason why old flagships price goes down and they start to look obselete.. Example -
S8, Note8, S9, Note9 - Infinity Display design with dual cameras.
S10, Note 10, S20 - Infinity O Display with triple camera..
We can expect a design change in 2021..

This is my analysis about Samsung's Flagship.. what do you guys think? mention in the comments below..

Thanks.

Good thought. Hope Samsung continues with this approach so that older phones will have more value

only when you need to otherwise there's no need to spend a lot of money on these flagship devices, you should use the features of device you have purchased instead of just feeling to upgrade every year, its nothing but psychological effect of marketing and trends.

i was talking purely in money terms.. if at all you are going to buy another samsung flagship in 3rd year then better should buy within 2 years itself because all in all you'll end up paying more as resale value after 2 years for samsung phones is just too bad..

You can go through the pattern of price drops Samsung follows that's how you know what's the best time to buy according to your budget, its not an apple to retain the price,it's Samsung

i think 2 years is very very less for a flagship to be changed. Cosmetic looks changes is only for short period of time. I think samsung should consider the period uptill 4 years so that the older flagships would get the best of it as the newer flagships face lots isuues while gaming which 95% of consumers needs and cameras which almost all users need

you dont get the point of this post.. it is completely on monetary basis.. not on utility terms..
