Hi I bought a new Samsung Note 20 ultra 5G almost a week back. One of the reason for buying the phone is its big battery, screen, 5G and the S pen. I know the processor is not going to be snapdragon 865 as i am in Qatar. I know that its going to be Exynos. I am happy with the phone though I there are some lags the overall performance of the phone is satisfying except for the battery. The battery 🔋 drains very quickly even with out usage. I have to charge the phone every 5 to 6 hours once. I have tried to optimise the battery by using the battery optimisation app from Samsung. I have even turned off the 5G and cut down on the background apps. I am not using the Internet as well but the battery is draining so fast. I am really upset with the product I have purchased. I dint expect this from Samsung. If its a low end cheap model I can compromise on the product but I have paid for the flagship model. Plz help me out. I need suggestions to how to optimise the battery life. Take this forward to the company/service center.

please take screenshots for the battery history and keep it, then share your experience with Samsung service center ...

please share the battery drainage history, may be there are some apps running in the background.

you can try to use the phone in the safe mode, if everything is ok then you have an issue with the apps installed by you.

I'm also having the same issue. I'm in Bahrain. I checked all the apps working in the background, I stopped them all, but still battery draining quickly.

There's nothing you can do, been reviewing the battery usage here since 2016. Same user, same apps, same tricks, putting to sleep, un installing, resetting, power saver, tried it all, the only different thing is the phone every year. I'm just a heavy user, and the only thing that eats the battery is the screen as long as it's on. This device is unfortunately 1 to 2 hours less than the previous ones in terms of battery life. Look at my usage today, 30% brightness and 60Hz not 120Hz on resolution of WQHD+ it's 320PM and I'm at 19% while writing this, i took it off the charger at 8am. It's not an all day battery device, unless it's a review unit that you use as a secondary phone for specific tasks. The Internet agrees, the US and Europe Support agree, check samsung members for other regions. The yellow highlight on my screenshot has 20 minutes of usage, so from 8 am till now i technically have 5hrs 20 minutes of screen on time.

Hi there,

Would be best to get the device looked at. Please kindly take the device to a certified Samsung service center.

I took my device to the Samsung service center and they said they found that there is some program / software running in the background and the screen is continuously on in the background ( I didn't know whats that) how ever they replaced my new device with another new one. I was told that there is an official circular from Samsung that there is a pblm in certain batch and they have advised to replace them if customer comes with a complaint. I am not sure how far it is true. now coming to the point the new device is still running out of battery 🔋 only good thing is it manages to work for 5 to 6 hrs from 4 to 5 hrs from my earlier one. I feel only fix is the software updates with proper hardware optimization. I feel its an unjust whatsoever by Samsung to deliver 2 different processor for the same price. looks like we are the loosers.
