Battery rapid drain from 10% to 0% in 1 minute

Hello guys,

I am experiencing an issue with my Galaxy note 20 5G, Android 11.

The battery drains from 10% to 0% (shut down) in just a few minutes.

All suggested attempts to improve/diagnose the issue do not work.

Any suggestions before dropping the phone to a Samsung Assistance shop?

I faced this issue on my old mobile. The problem was with battery. So probably service center is the option.

thank you for your comments. someone is suggesting battery recalibration. is that an option? is that safe?

someone suggests with *#0228# on dial pad ... not sure this is safe or the solution. It might try to reset the phone first?

Ya first try the code *0228#. but charge atleast 80%. then drain it completely. after that charge 0 to 100 without turning it on. Then monitor the battery drain. If you still face the same issue, then Factory reset the phone and check.

Even after if u face the same issue then the battery need to be replaced. you can approach authorized samsung service center and explain the issue. they will check and replace it free of cost
