It has been a year since I bought my device and the issue is still there, i know that it is largely due to the cheap processor that was given to our region, however, I still feel cheated whenever my phone heats up and start draining.

The sad part is after the recent updates the device started to kill apps to maintain battery life, like for example killing Google maps while driving if leave the map for a minute or my audio player which is annoying and might be dangerous.

Is there is any practical solution rather than charging devices?

Hi there,

Please bring the device to a Samsung Service Center to have it checked out by a technician and help resolve the issue.

Hi, after days of wake lock checks, apps uninstall ING etc, found the issue was the auto-refresh option. Disabled it, so it remains on 60hz and battery drain dropped to almost nothing now.

But why buy a top device when you have to operate like an entry level phone to get a decent battery life?

Considering its not the "top" as of the new S22 range etc, I could debate that discussion... I do agree that it's an issue that needs to be addressed, though.

The issue was there since day one mainly due to the processor given to this region as I mentioned earlier, so we are talking about the flagship device of that time.
Moreover, 60hz and no auto refresh I can get that for less than 400 AED when on offer :)
