APN auto revert

Hi,

I have added a customised APN and it works fine.

However, after a short while, it will silently switch back to the mobile provider's (EE) default one.

How do I prevent this?

Hi, the APN does not auto change. Please make sure the phone is not roaming as if it is, then this issue will occur. But if it is used normally, it should not switch. To have a better knowledge of this you can visit the nearest service center.

That is all incorrect.
The 'configupdater' system app makes the APN change back to the provider's one periodically.
Disabling it stops this ridiculous behaviour but I am not sure what other effects that might have. None noticed so far.

Also, I'm not in the uae so an ae link isn't ideal.
