If this issue occurred right after a software update then you should definitely try dong a factory reset as the problem could be caused by old software data that has not been completely removed during the update process. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. You should also try inserting a different SIM card in the phone to check if the problem is caused by a faulty SIM.
