is it advisable to purchase an antivirus software for galaxy smartphones?

Nope. Never buy any anti virus or cleaner software. There are viruses for Android but you won't come across them on Play Store (assuming you don't install every single thing you see on it).

 

Don't install any app from the Web. Including people on communities like this or XDA. Use those apps only if it's a highly trusted developer with a wide portfolio. 

 

Also, if you use F-Droid chances are they're not checked for vulnerabilities like Play Store. In that case, Samsung has a built in scanner. Otherwise use ESET or Kaspersky. Both are free.

No..device care security system is sufficient..plus keep play protect tab enabled inside Google play store settings..

there is no creation of virus in android..because android based on linux kernel..if you install any antivirus apk then it can cause trouble to your device
