Hey @yoyonitish, after changing wallpaper, you can restart you phone. Sometimes because your phone is on default settings, normally it takes time to get other apps processed and that time we call it lag.

for resolution do not install unwanted applications, keep you cache clean and dont setup high motion images as wallpaper because they not only consume RAM but battery as well.

Bro, wallpaper change kark try karo..bahut se wallpapers or themes me clearly mentioned rehta hai ki problem aa sakti hai.
or
settings>applications>scroll down to one UI home>clear cache/restart your device and check again
or
perform normal phone reset settings
settings>general management>select reset>click on reset settings
or
clear galaxy themes cache
