Samsung has created quite a stir in the budget smartphone market with the launch of the new Galaxy M series phones. While Samsung India is all out promoting its new Galaxy M10 and M20 smartphones of course, its rival Xiaomi seems to have also joined in. Since the launch of the Samsung Galaxy M10 and M20 smartphones on January 28, Xiaomi India has dedicated -- indirectly -- at least one tweet everyday either via the official Mi India or Redmi India Twitter handles. Of course, these tweets are all about how great their upcoming Redmi 7 smartphone would be compared to the new Galaxy M series phones.
The aggressive price point of the new Galaxy M series smartphones is a big concern for Chinese players like Xiaomi. The tweets seem to be taking potshots at Samsung’s new smartphones and showcasing how the next Xiaomi phone may be better. However, is it a case of anxiety as a lot of critics and experts feel that this is the first time Xiaomi is under considerable threat from a rival brand. Having said that, the Indian consumers would emerge as winners in this battle between Samsung and Xiaomi. This is because if Samsung lower prices of new phones, Xiaomi will no choice but to make their phones even more affordable, as offering products at a lower price is Xiaomi’s biggest USP. Meanwhile, enjoy the new tweet war that Xiaomi has raged on an otherwise mute Samsung. And not to forget Xiaomi has even dedicated a hashtag called ‘Mi Powerd’, in response to Samsung’s ‘IMPOWERD’.
The true fact is - currently no brand has such power to kill off Xiaomi, it still rocks & will rock in future in mid range market. The reason Xiaomi knows how to make a phone perfect in indeed, but Samsung knows how can they profit by making a bad phone which will look apparently good 😂. Currently, Realme, Asus, Honor also became very aggressive. But Samsung is still going with their old strategy
