regarding the lock screen you can turn on accessibility option on one ui and hide it, it will show on notification panel.

you can scrol down the notification panel and click on lock.. it is 2 touch process

Just check inside nova launcher, if there is any settings related to this..or else default ui is only solution..

I never used but from other users I came to know that after oneui 2 update using launchers giving errors. Maybe this comes under this issue.

I know about this thing find a setting called hide status bar in launcher setting and disable it to see the status bar this will surely help.
No need to use the stock launcher if you dont like it.
