I was attending an online lecture.... after than when I dragged down the notification drawer.... suddenly the icons are looking like this....very closely arranged 

I just wanted to know that has there been any update happened or it was there already in system UI and I just didn't know it until now....

it's a glitch, try restarting the device.

It maybe because you were using phone in landscape before this and suddenly changed orientation. Seems like a bug.
