My device (Samsung M14 5G) keeps showing this notification again and again and won't let my phone sleep, resulting in excessive battery drainage. From yesterday, it wasn't supporting Fast Charging and now, it's not even charging at all. I have only used genuine Samsung adapters and cables ever since I bought this phone. What shall I do?

I checked if there's an issue in adapters or cables, though my other Samsung devices were charging normally.
I used another set of cable to charge the phone but failed. I assume there's an issue in my device only.

That sounds incredibly annoying! It's especially frustrating when it messes with your battery life and charging speed.
Since you've already tried different cables and confirmed your adapters work with other Samsung devices, it really does seem like the problem is with your M14 phone itself.
A few things come to mind that you could tr
•Clean the USB Port: This might sound basic, but sometimes a tiny bit of lint or dust gets stuck in there and makes the connection flaky. Try gently cleaning it with a wooden toothpick or a soft, dry toothbrush. Just be super careful not to damage anything inside!
•Restart in Safe Mode: This helps figure out if a recently installed app is causing the problem. If the notification stops in Safe Mode, you'll know it's an app, and you can start uninstalling recent ones one by one.
•Wipe Cache Partition: Sometimes system glitches can cause weird behavior. Wiping the cache partition (you'll need to look up how to do this specifically for the M14 5G, usually involves turning off the phone and pressing certain buttons to get into recovery mode) can clear out temporary files that might be causing the issue without deleting your personal data.
•Factory Reset (as a last resort): If nothing else works, a factory reset might be necessary, but make sure you back up EVERYTHING first, as it will erase your phone. If it still acts up after a factory reset, then it's definitely a hardware issue.
•Contact Samsung Support: Honestly, if you've tried all the troubleshooting steps and cleaning, and it's still acting up, it's probably best to get Samsung involved. , if the phone is still under warranty, they might need to fix or replace the USB port.
Hope one of these helps you sort it out! It's such a pain when your phone doesn't cooperate. Good luck!

Let me know if anything else.

After installing all the latest updates available (software and security and apps), I'm not sure if the issue regarding notification has been resolved permanently or not, though I no longer recieve notification for now. And also, after using new data cable, the phone has been charging but slowly as the phone continues to not support Fast Charging any longer.

In case, if the issue hasn't been resolved permanently, I'll get in contact with Samsung support or visit their service centre. Though, the phone is no longer under warranty duration. Thank you for your help.😊

I am pleased to hear that, even though it is unfortunate that the phone does not support fast charging. If my assistance has been helpful, I would be grateful if you would consider clicking the three dots and marking my response as the solution. Thank you.

I also had encountered the same issue and the issue is not resolved yet. The issue I think we both experience due to a short in the charging compartment. To resolve it, you should replace the charging compartment. I have tried all the solution for this problem and this is the last resort. Else you can charge your phone at slow charging. The short at the charging compartment can be due using another charger or may have contacted water. For my case only one side of the charging cable can be detected. If you resolved it im looking forward for the solution.

Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

As per your concern, we would request you to kindly perform the following steps to resolve your issue.

Kindly check the power socket functionality with a different device or try to charge the device in a different power socket.

1. Check connectivity: Please check whether the charger cable and adapter are fixed well. Remove the charging cable and reconnect with the mobile phone properly.

2. Check charger functionality: If different devices charge with the same charger. It seems your charger is functioning, before getting into the mobile-related troubleshooting, I would like to know whether you are using a Samsung-approved charger.
Note: We recommend our customers use only Samsung-approved chargers, as 3rd party chargers with different output ratings may cause errors in the device.

If the device charges with a different charger: It seems there is an issue with your charger, kindly check the physical condition of your charger for any damage.

3. Update device software (If available): Settings > Software update > Download and install > Checking for software update > Software update available > Download > Downloading updates > Install now.

4. You can reset your device by following the steps.
1. Kindly create a data backup of your device via the SMART switch mobile application or http://www.samsung.com/in/support/smartswitch pc suite.
2. Remember the Google password before resetting the device because it is required during initial setup.
3. If you do not remember password then advise to reset (Forgot password) your Google account.

Path: Settings> General Management.>Reset>Temporary cloud backup or External storage backup>After backup tab on Factory data reset to reset your device to its factory default settings.
This will erase all data, including files and downloaded apps.

If the issue still occurs, please visit the service centre for a physical device inspection. You can locate your nearest service centre with this given link: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/service-center/

Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support
