Galaxy MI cannot explain you modulation of frequency, but it's been done since 2G or FM radio.
CA takes it to next level.
Lower frequency bands can penetrate further, so it got long range but very slow internet speed.
Higher bands above 1800 MHz can carry more data i.e more speed. but can only penetrate a few blocks of building.
CA combines a low band & a high band to full both the needs.
Their are a few more technologies involved with 4G Advance like MIMO (multiple input multiple output) or QAM.
but that is no concern to consumers, we just want 4G+ in 2020 & later and a little bit more stable Network and speed.
