Yes, M Series phones don't have Knox security, so Samsung Pay is not compatible. Additionally, Samsung Pay also requires NFC, so several A series phones also lack this feature.

Unfortunately, Galaxy M series of devices don't support Galaxy Pay, due to the absence of Samsung Knox, which provides encryption and additional security for digitized payments. However, some A series do support Knox and therefore also supports Samsung Pay.
