I have been a loyal Samsung user for years, but my recent experience with the Samsung M52 5G has been nothing short of frustrating. After a recent software update, my phone developed a persistent green line on the screen. This issue seems to be widespread, affecting many users who have reported similar problems.
I purchased my Samsung M52 5G on 07/11/2021 (IMEI: 353788640126739) for ₹24,000 as a student, expecting good features and a minimum lifespan of four years. However, the current retail value of this phone is around ₹7,000, and Samsung wants me to pay an additional ₹7,000 for a display replacement. As a student, ₹7,000 is a significant amount.
Anyone who buys a Samsung phone expects two things: reliability and longevity. I still remember the advertisements where Samsung touted this phone as a “monster.” Now, look at the “monster” I bought. I chose a Samsung phone over Realme or Redmi because it is a non-Chinese brand, but now I think they were the better options because they are more reliable than Samsung.

I would never have posted this on social media, but Samsung compelled me to do so. I even spoke to their customer experience manager, who was nice, but she said the Samsung tech team denied my request because there are dents on my back cover. These are just excuses from Samsung’s side. There are no scratches or any visible signs of damage on the screen, yet they are not helping me out.

Because of this issue, I have missed eight classes, which has significantly impacted my studies and academic performance. This green screen problem is not unique to my device; it has occurred with many Samsung M52 5G devices, as reported by numerous users. Given that this issue stems from a software problem introduced by Samsung’s update, I believe it is only fair that Samsung provides a free-of-cost replacement or repair for affected devices. I urge Samsung to take responsibility and offer a solution to all affected customers.

Samsung, it’s time to step up and take responsibility for your products. Your customers deserve better than to be left with faulty devices and expensive repair bills. This green screen issue is not an isolated incident but a widespread problem that needs immediate attention. Ignoring it only tarnishes your reputation and erodes the trust of your loyal customers.
