Samsung M42 Mic issue

Its less than 2.months of new phone and the mic(in call) has stopped working...  If i take to service center they will open up and will keep for long number of days... Since its not even 2 months..wont samsung do a replacement.??

Only happens during calls ?
Try to do voice recording and video recording.

If its only during calls, its a software related issue.

Nope ... It is not only at time of calls... Even the watsapp voices doent work when bringing near ear.. the speaker works well..


When i call i cant hear anything..

Looks like hardware issue as somewr near camera if i touch sound comes..

Only calls.
The whole calling mic/earpiece gains section under mixers seems to be ruined.

You can test it by typing this in dialer (phone app):
*#0283#

Thank you... The mic(1st option) is messed up... Nothing is audible...

1st one is for the earpiece I guess.
It's best to visit a service centre in this case.

Hi, i checked with *#0283#, everything seems fine. My problem is in a call the other party is unable to hear me at all, surprisingly my mic seems working in WhatsApp call and also when i record video. Pls help
