Samsung Galaxy M51 still on 1st July 2022 security update (as of 23-Nov-2022)

My Samsung Galaxy M51 is still on 1st July 2022 update. In a week it will be FIVE months old update. When will Samsung rollout an update for the M51 ?

Now M51 on biannual updates. Next update probably in February

@MK008 - You seem to have had inside info that Samsung will provide next security update in February. Assuming you meant Feb 2023, any update on this ?

As per their policy and also confirmed via customer care, M51 will get security patch updates biannual till September 2024. January security patch already rolled out in many countries. This month definitely it will arrive.

@MK008, thanks for the update, though I only have your word on this. Hope Samsung does provide security updates more regularly for a higher mid-range phone like this one

Hello @Samsung how come this can be a hardware issue globally for all users with the same issue at the same time? Need some consideration to fix this issue. This issue had happened after the last android security patch update. I am having this issue as soon as my phone gets updated and booted up , I am experiencing screen flickering and discoloration. Need some responsible action from SAMSUNG SIDE FOR SAMSUNG USERS. Recently one plus users had the same issue and ONEPLUS had replaced the screen for free for all the users having this issue even if they are at out of warranty

Folks, I have finally got an update on my M51 a few days ago, on manual checking, not automatic, though my phone is set to download and install automatically over Wi-Fi connections. After this update it now shows that the security update is now updated up to 1st January 2023, which is a relief as I use this phone for mobile banking and online purchases etc. Feel safer to do those now, which I had suspended doing from my phone last October or so. Wonder if Samsung will provide an update at least every 6-10 months for this phone, though it won't receive any more OS upgrades.
