2019 saw Samsung launch a number of smartphones across various budget segment and among those, phones from the newly established M series turned out to be quite popular. In February, the company had announced the M30 which arguably remains to date the most popular M series device, and now, reports suggest it is close to bringing its successor to the market.
According to a recently appeared listing on Geekbench, a phone with a model number SM-M315F has scored 348 and 1,214 points in the single and multi-core tests, respectively. And if rumours are to be believed, the device in question is none other than the M30’s successor, the Galaxy M31.
As per the benchmark listing, the Galaxy M31 will come running Android 10 and come sporting 6GB of RAM onboard paired to an Exynos 9611 SoC. This is in contradiction with previous leaks that claim the phone will have a Snapdragon 665 SoC under the hood.
Apart from this, the listing reveals little else about the device. The Samsung Galaxy M31 is said to be still quite a few months away from launch and is believed to currently be in the early stages of development. The launch date remains unknown as of now, but expectation is that the phone could be launched some time during Q1 next year.
The phone is expected to bring as much as 64GB of storage. Earlier reports have also suggested that the the Samsung Galaxy M31 could sport a triple rear camera setup with a primary 48-megapixel shooter sitting beside a 12-megapixel wide-angle sensor, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor.
