Samsung is all set to unveil its newly minted Galaxy M series today with the launch of the Galaxy M10 and M20. India is the first market to get the new Galaxy M phones as Samsung aims to regain its footing in the affordable segment. The Galaxy M10 and M20 launch is highly anticipated as these are the first Samsung phones to come with the new Infinity-V waterdrop displays.

The Galaxy M10 and M20 are Amazon India exclusive devices and the announcement will take place on the e-commerce platform at 6pm later today. The phones should also be available on Samsung's online store as well. Sources close to India Today Tech recently revealed that the Galaxy M10 will start at Rs 8,990, while the Galaxy M20 will cost Rs 12,990. We will know the official pricing today, and whether the two phones will come with additional variants as well.
According to tipster Ishan Agarwal, there will indeed be two variants for each of the models. The Galaxy M10 will come with a base model with a 2GB + 16GB configuration that will cost Rs 7,990, while the second variant with a 3GB + 32GB combo will cost Rs 8,990. The M20 will start with 3GB + 32GB and will cost Rs 10,990, while the 4GB + 64GB variant will cost Rs 12,990.

The new Galaxy M phones have been leaked in renders and live images, including a promo video posted by Bollywood actress Disha Patani. All of these leaks point to two phones with similar designs. The Galaxy M10 and M20 will both come with Infinity-V displays with a droplet-style notch. They are likely to come with plastic rear panels considering their prices. The Galaxy M20 will come with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, while the M10 will only offer face unlock.

Based on what we know so far, the Galaxy M10 will come with a 6.2-inch HD+ display, while the Galaxy M20 will offer a slightly bigger 6.3-inch screen with a FHD+ resolution. The Galaxy M10 is also tipped to come with a 1.6GHz Exynos 7870 chipset while the M20 may get the newly announced 1.8GHz Exynos 7904 processor. Both the phones are likely to come with similar dual camera systems that will include a 13MP primary sensor and a secondary ultra wide-angle sensor.

The Galaxy M20 is also tipped to be Samsung's first phone with a massive 5,000mAh battery. The M10 will come with a smaller 3,400mAh capacity. Both the Galaxy M phones are confirmed to come with Android Oreo with Experience UI on top as Samsung has announced Pie update for them only in August. We will know the official pricing and availability of the M10 and M20 at 6pm later today.
