Earlier this year, samsung promised to give 3yr Android updates and 4yr security updates to all the Samsung phone released after 2019.
So samsung galaxy m21 , m31 etc are all entitled to get 3 major software updates but in some recent articles, I found out that Android 12 will be the last Android update for these phones(which is just 2 major updates unlike what samsung promised).
So please help me understand is it Samsung's fault of not keeping there promise or website's fault for wrong info or its just a misunderstanding.
It's applicable only for the flagship and A series devices I guess. The budget phones like m series get max 2 major updates only, in case of security updates I think they will move it to biannual updates.
3 major update policy is applicable only to flagships and select A series devices while 4 years of security updates is applicable to most devices (including most M series devices).
