Proximity sensor

Hi I own Samsung galaxy M31 and from past few months I observed that my proximity is not working and during on call, screen was not off and hence face issues...

Please suggest do I really need to change my proximity sensor...

It doesn't have hardware proximity sensor,

It have virtual proximity sensing which relies on accelerometer, gyroscope and isn't accurate

Friend earlier it was working, if it is on basis of what you said then can you suggest what is the actual reason of failure or issue...

This virtual sensing is more of a Software thing, which could be glitching 👀

In this app go to 'get help' section then diagnostics, then check if its working or not

Diagnosed mobile and all 23 points are ok, thank you...
