I find that of late the Samsung default phone app hangs and refuses to close once the call is over, I can't close the app, or go back to Home till some time, after sometime I get the message on the screen " App not responding, with option to kill or wait" only after which I am able to close the phone app and use the phone.

Please perform the following steps to resolve the issue:
1. Make sure that 20% internal storage is free for which clear the RAM memory and storage of device (Settings > Device care > Memory/Storage > Clean Now).
2. Settings > apps > tap on 3 dots (Upper right corner) > reset app preferences.
3. Settings > apps > phone app > storage > clear cache > go back > force stop.
4. Stop the background running app (Tap on the left soft key and close all the running apps).
