yes, problem still present after upgradation from Experience Ui to One Ui with Android Oreo to Android 10.

I'm in May security patch, still Fb, Fb lite, messenger, meesenger lite, wtsp are available in Galaxy Store... But who cares when there is better option already available (i.e Play Store)?

yes, but some apps better of Galaxy App store Bcz there are difference between play store app version and galaxy Store.
Remember that Facebook always crash when M series of phone run on Old Samsung Experience User interface and after update from play store it's not stopped crashing? but after update a old version which is already exists in Galaxy store problem gone.
so I think Galaxy App store is also a better for Samsung Phones and ui

For me Fb never crashed 🤷🏻♂️, and currently using 237.0.0.12.120 (the latest beta version)

so you are beta Participants but we are using Stable version of Facebook
and both version are crashing if you trying to open if from phone notifications panel.
problem exists after upgradation from Experience ui to One ui
