I am an M51 user and after the recent update, I found that my phone is constantly using more than 3 gb of memory even when it's kept idle and the battery life is decreased by a lot. Is this normal and suggest any tips that might work for the problem.

In my case the ram issue u told is same for me ...

My battery backup is improved in normal usages but became little more draining in gaming

I didn't find any improvement in battery performance , actually it had a opposite impact on my phones battery life.

Bro go to safe mode
Also clear wipe cache partition from recovery mode ..
Uninstall unnecessary apps and put unnecessary app to deep sleeping modeon device care ..
Disable allow background activity of unnecessary apps from those apps info battery section ..
Use power saving mode by disabling limiting 70% cpu

If u didn't do these things try it once

Same thing happen to me. Since this morning, my phone is draining unusually fast. 100% to 88% in 50 minutes. It's only 2 months since I bought the phone :(
